How the work actually works.

These are the general terms for working with YellowCC. The specifics for your project are set out in the written scope we agree before starting: what is being built, what it costs, and when it is paid. That document takes precedence over this page.

Scope and price.

Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed price. We do not bill hourly. If the price on your scope is R40,000, the invoice is R40,000.

If you want something added once we have started, that is fine. We will quote it separately and you decide before any work on it begins. We will not add it silently and put it on the final invoice.

What we need from you.

Timelines assume we can reach you. Most delays on a website project come from waiting for content, photographs, logins, or a decision, not from the build. If we are waiting on you, the delivery date moves by roughly the same amount.

Revisions.

Each build includes a window of free tweaks after launch: thirty days on Starter, sixty on Growth, ninety on Scale. Inside that window, adjustments to what we built are included. New pages or new features are new work, and we will quote them.

Who owns what.

  • You own your domain. It is registered in your name, not ours, and you keep it whether or not you keep working with us.
  • You own the finished site and its content once the project is paid in full.
  • You own your content: text, photographs, logos, and anything else you supply. You confirm you have the right to use it.
  • We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio and to place a small studio credit in the footer, unless you ask us not to.
  • We build on open tools such as Next.js and Tailwind, which stay under their own licences. Nothing here is locked to us.

Third parties.

Hosting, domains, email, and any paid service your site depends on are billed by those providers under their own terms. We will tell you what is needed before you commit to anything, and where it makes sense we set them up in your own accounts so you keep control of them.

Care plans.

Care plans are monthly and optional. They cover the work described on the pricing page. You can stop one at the end of any month, and your site stays yours.

What we do not promise.

We build sites designed to rank and to convert, and we will tell you honestly what we think a page can do. Nobody can guarantee a position in Google, a number of enquiries, or a revenue figure, and you should be careful of anyone who does.

We take reasonable care, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a project is limited to what you paid us for it.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.

Questions.

If anything here is unclear, ask before you sign rather than after. We would rather explain it twice than have you assume something we did not mean.
